Part A
Helps cover inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, hospice, and some home health services.
Part B
Helps cover doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, medical equipment, and more.
Part C
A Medicare-approved plan that combines Part A and Part B coverage, often with additional benefits.
Part D
Helps cover the cost of prescription medications through a stand-alone plan or a Medicare Advantage plan.
Your coverage paths
Original Medicare includes Part A and Part B. Many people add a Medicare Supplement plan and a separate Part D prescription drug plan to help with costs and prescriptions.
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. They combine Part A and Part B and may include prescription drug coverage and other benefits.
Enrollment timing
Your first opportunity to enroll generally begins three months before the month you turn 65 and continues for three months after.
Each fall, you can review and make changes to Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug coverage for the following year.
Certain life events, such as leaving employer coverage or moving, may create an opportunity to make changes outside the usual enrollment windows.
Choosing a plan
The right coverage is personal. A thoughtful review looks beyond a plan name or a single benefit and focuses on how coverage fits your health, budget, and preferences.
I can help you understand the choices, compare what matters, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
